Sila Nerangalil Music Review
Sila Nerangalil is a honest effort from newcomers with a theme focussing on the emotional circumstances of various relationships. And that itself has brought about a good show from srikanth deva who can deliver with the right themes.
Track : Embavai Embavai
Type : Soft Melody
Singing Style : Flows with the tune, Controlled rendition
Interesting Point : The instrumentation of veena along the backgrounds adds a remarkable mesmerising effect to the song. Srikanth deva shows maturity in minimising the backgrounds to allow the tune to register itself.
Rating : 8/10
Track : Pottu Vaitha
Type : 60's Melody
Singing Style : Age does show but Susheela's pronounciation and tonal expressions are perfect.
Interesting Point : The orchestration is totally a turnback to MSV-Ramamoorthy days with harmonium and monotonous tabla backgrounds. Although a decent effort, the song is too similar to classic songs from the 60s.
Rating : 6/10
Track : Thirudapatta Nilave
Type : Soulful Melody
Singing Style : Appropriate Emotions suit the tune.
Interesting Point : The tune reveals the pangs of two separated lovers but the orchestration is innovative and brilliant. The oriental beats and mixing adds a different flavour to the track and really creates a impact.
Rating : 9/10
Track : Pongudhu Pongudhu
Type : 60's Melody
Singing Style : Adequate but at times sounds out of tune.
Interesting Point : The tune again is a reminder of the old era but srikanth deva shows some creativity in the violin orchestration with the piano impressing in the prelude. The song adds the olden fervour to a modern tune.
Rating : 8/10
Track : Cellphonai
Type : Peppy Song
Singing Style : High pitched sexy expressions enlivens the tune.
Interesting Point : The latin american instrumentation peps up the song instead of the usual techno raves that MDs love to use for such songs. The mixing of the singer's voice appropriate places shows some creativity from deva. A song that should be definitely appreciated for its different backgrounds.
Rating : 8/10
Overall theres innovation with world music coming into the flavour of the album and srikanth deva's delightful venture proves that he can hit it with the right films. Certainly a album to cherish.

Hi blogger
I do not know your name, but I appreciate the fact that you have given an excellent review on Sila Nerangalil audio.
It is exactly the same kind of feelings that you expressed just like the feeling that I had when I listened to the audio.
"Embavai Embavai" is my favorite song out of the five.
